Ants

Range in size from 5/16" to 1". Head has a heart shape.

small brown ant about 2 to 3 mm long. Not common in Michigan.

Very small dark brown to black. More common in the southeast.

Greyish white thorax and black head. Needs a warm environment to survive.

From 1/8" to 1/16" and brown/black. Found under or next to pavement or rocks.

1/16" and yellow in color. Likes to build nests in voids of structures.

1/32" and light yellow to red. Often mistaken for Pharaoh ants.
